Student Life

Abate students come from diverse backgrounds. They hail from almost all districts of Kerala and outside states. This diversity brings a broad array of styles, cultures, and perspectives to Abate student life. What they share is a passion for interior design and the drive to make a career out of it. Student activities at Abate revolve around events for socializing and having fun, exploring the city, and enhancing life as a professional designer.

Social events:  The semester begins with a fresher’s day party and continues with other seasonal themed events throughout the year, such as colours day celebration, designer’s day events, Laurie Baker day Celebrations, the college annual day etc. 

Group trips: Students travel to places like Gokulam Galleria Mall, The Hi Lite Mall, SM street Calicut, The Public Library Mananchira, Tali Temple and Mishkal Mosque, The Varikkasseri Mana of Palakkad, the museums and almost all the materials shops and newly built residences, Shops, Office spaces, Banquet halls, Auditoriums etc. in and around Calicut, Kannur and Perinthalmanna for their material study and live case study along with industrial visits to Goa, Hampi, Ramakkalmedu, Dandeli etc. They also visit all the building materials expos happening around such as EXPO by LENSFED, VANITHA VEEDU EXPO etc. And a visit to Kochi- Muziris Biennale is all parts and parcel of the trips.

Community event food drive: The students association is coordinating a community service effort to donate foods to those in need under their service wing SAN- Service Authorised Nest

Students club: Abate has active student organizations that support diverse interests, promote student involvement, and encourage leadership opportunities. These clubs and associations help students connect to each other as well as to other departments of the institute. Students association represents the interests and needs of Abate students by serving as a liaison between students and the faculty and administration, working towards enhancing the overall student experience. The association also organizes a variety of events throughout the academic year. Students association functions as the voice of the student body and is the primary forum through which student concerns are brought to the attention of the college’s administration. 

We don’t separate life and education. At Abate living is learning.
