Sherin Poovathingal serves as an Assistant Professor at the ABATE Institute of Architecture since 2014. Sherin's academic journey began in 2008 with a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Sree Buddha College of Engineering, Pattoor, under Kerala University. During her undergraduate years, she underwent training with the Public Works Department in Kerala.
Driven by her research interests in Finite Element Analysis, Sherin pursued a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from Tamilnadu College of Engineering, Coimbatore, under Anna University, Chennai, from 2012 to 2014. Her academic rigor and dedication to her field were further complemented by training under PE VE AR Developers in Manjeri.
Sherin's contributions to the field are evident through her paper titled "Effect of Wire Mesh Orientation in Ferrocement Retrofitted Beams," presented at the 6th National Level conference on Innovation in Civil Engineering (ICE’14) and the 1st International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems (2IES-14).
Additionally, Sherin is a registered Engineer under the Department of Urban Affairs, Kerala, showcasing her professional exposure and expertise in significant constructional projects within Kerala. Her combination of academic excellence, practical training, and research contributions make her a valuable asset to the institution.
