He serves as the Director and Professor at the Abate Institute of Architecture, where he plays a pivotal role in academic leadership, institutional development, and mentoring aspiring architects.
He is the Managing Director of Design Collaborative Private Limited, a renowned design consultancy firm operating across India. His professional journey began with Auroservice D'Auroville Trust, where he served as an architect for 17 years. He later founded and led Auroservice Consultants Private Limited until 2009, before establishing Design Collaborative.
Israel has also been deeply engaged in community-based design initiatives and social architecture. He held several leadership roles in the CDD Society in Bengaluru, including President and Board Advisor, contributing to sustainable urban development and decentralized sanitation systems.
